So if you’ve been following my Twitter feed at all, you’ll know that the paperback copy of my book is very close to being done. And if you haven’t, hey—the paperback copy of my book is very close to being done! We got the first proof copy last week, and after a few hours *cough*afullday*cough* admiring it and taking shameless photos, we made a few adjustments and sent the file back for a new proof.

We just finished uploading The Lady of Souls to Amazon, the first stop on our trip for the day! I don’t know yet when the retailers will make the book available for purchase (some of them might take a few days), but I will make links live on the front page of my website as soon as I notice each retailer being active. Keep your eyes peeled! Not much longer now!

I’m working out a few last little details, and making final, picky decisions about the formatting. I’ll be honest: I MIGHT not make it by October 31st, but if the release inches into November it will only be by a day or so. Or, you know, it could go GREAT and I might upload it tomorrow. Again: never done this before. Thank you for your patience and enthusiasm! You’ll be able to read the book very, very soon, I promise!

Monthly Author Check-In, The Beacon Campaigns, The Lady of Souls
In the middle of Final Edits. Finished pile on the right, still to come on the left. (Behind it you can see the tome that is the first draft, plus a handful of layout test pages from print formatting work.) I’m scheduled to have it all wrapped up on Friday, and then I turn my attention to the last items on my pre-publishing checklist—which, now that I am looking at it, um, are mostly finish the Final Edits.
This is becoming real disturbingly fast.
